Elaine BladesWelcome to our first podcast for our new project launching on January 10, 2017.

We plan to have a series of podcasts (taped telephone interviews) with a wide-range of estate planning experts to help families learn more about estate planning.

To kick off our podcast series, we are pleased that Ontario lawyer, Elaine Blades joins our project to talk about some of the key basics of estate planning.

About Elaine Blades, Legal Consultant, Professional Practice Group | RBC Wealth Management, Estate & Trust Services.

Elaine is a graduate of Osgoode Hall Law School and has over two decades of experience in the Financial Services industry, focusing on estate, trust and other fiduciary services. She currently works at RBC Wealth Management Services as a Legal Consultant.  Elaine has written extensively on estate and trust matters, most recently with advisor.ca and the blog All About Estates (allaboutestates.ca). 

Elaine is an experienced educator having taught at the Law Society of Upper Canada Bar Admission Course and Seneca College (Law Clerk’s course). Over the years I have been involved with industry training and education through organizations such as Moody’s (the Trust Institute) and the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP). 

Elaine is keenly interested in educating the public about estate and trust matters and the importance of “planning for life”.
