Please take a moment today to remember Canada’s Veterans.   They sacrificed so much (many with their lives) to give us a better world.    This is a picture of my grandfather’s discharge papers from WWI.  His name was Robert Battrick and he lost his leg during a battle in 1917.

My Dad, Samuel Brimacombe was an Intelligence Officer during WWII.  Dad shared many war songs, stories and some of his war adventures.  He loved being a solider, it truly shaped his whole adult life. Our family proudly keeps all of his medals.  Many of my uncles and aunts were also in the war.  Some flew bomber planes, some worked in ammunition factories in Canada.  I will wear my poppy proudly all day on the 11th.
