Recent work from McMaster University demonstrates that seniors who experience periods of physical inactivity from illness, hospitalization and bed rest, for example, are more likely to suffer harmful consequences to their overall health. Specifically increases in blood sugar which could put them at a higher risk for Type 2 diabetes development.

The results found here make a case for maintaining mobility especially as we age!
