The University Health Network based in Toronto, which is Canada’s largest research hospital recently announced the country’s first emergency care centre for seniors, thanks to a $52 million dollar donation. It will be the first of its kind globally, complete with comprehensive research facilities, educational programs, staff specialized in geriatric care and a physical space designed to work with the unique needs of seniors.
