We are pleased to announce an afternoon of educational and inter-active workshops supporting the wellness of family caregivers. Workshops will focus on dealing with complex issues of caregiving including:
- Caregiver burnout
- Projecting yourself
- Substance abuse awareness
- Caring for the dying
Dr. Helena Jaczek, MPP, Oak Ridges Markham will be on hand to help welcome attendees.
The Workshops will be hosted by industry experts. We will also be producing a Live Webinar, Website Video Highlights and a DVD. The Workshops and Webinar are free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.

After the formal workshop presentations, we will present our “Caregiver Heroes” program. With over $600 in gifts for deserving family caregivers, the afternoon plans to be an educational, supportive and fun event!
This is a two part wellness series offering opportunities for family caregivers to come together to learn more about improving their personal health and wellness. The first of two workshop dates is noted above. The second workshop is scheduled for Sunday March 3, 2013 at the Trisan Centre in Schomberg.
Caregiving Matters is the operating name for the Canadian internet-based registered charity, “Losing Our Parents” #82293 0616 RR000. Founded in 2008, our mission is to offer education and support to family caregivers and others who are dealing with the declining health or death of a parent.
