Caregiver Heroes LogoDo you know any family caregivers that you think are heroes who live in the Greater Toronto Area?

Please let us know about them. We have just received two huge gift-in kind shipments from our high end GTA retail partners of home furnishings and kitchen ware.

These high end stores (one at Yorkdale, the other at Sherway Gardens) give us their floor model inventory to simply “Pass Forward” to either people who are ill and / or their family caregivers.

If you would like to know the full details of our program, please give me a call at:

  1. My sister lives in Sarnia; she cares for her mother-in-law Monica.

    Monica has macular degeneration; along with several other health issues. Monica can no longer drive; my sister does her errands & takes her to all her appt.; Monica is afraid to cook, my sister prepares all her meals, do house cleaning; her laundry(in basement) her yard

    Monica has 2 sons; no daughters; so my sister is taking that role.

    Monica does appreciate the time & everything my sister does for her.

    Please let me know what else I need to do to nominate my sister.

    Thank you;

  2. Thank you for reaching out to us about your sister and all the amazing things she does for her mother-in-law Monica. She does indeed sound like a Caregiver Hero.

    Currently, we have things to give to people who live in the Toronto area only and have no volunteers in her area to actually give her a gift today (we are always looking for new volunteers to help with this program though). However, I will be happy to send her a personal note and one of our “Caregiver Heroes Pins” in the mail.

    We would also be happy to feature her on our website. We would only say her first name and what you mentioned about her. Often family caregivers are looking for some appreciation and thanks – well we could gladly offer that.

    How does that sound?

    You can email me directly to chat in private about these ideas at:

    Thanks

    Mary
