About Helen Hebb:

Helen Hebb Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)

Life has taken me through many seasons—some joyful, others deeply challenging—and each one has shaped the way I support those I work with. I’ve lived through the complexities of marriage, the heartbreak of divorce, the emotional weight of grief, the evolving role of being a caregiver, and the quiet struggles that come with major life transitions. These personal chapters have given me a deep understanding of what it means to feel lost, stuck, or overwhelmed—and also what it takes to begin again with courage and self-compassion.

As a culturally and spiritually sensitive therapist, I provide a safe and welcoming space for women navigating life transitions—especially those caring for aging or ill parents, recovering from abuse, or rebuilding after divorce. My own family is made up of many cultures and spiritual traditions, and I’ve witnessed firsthand how these differences can be a source of deep connection, peace, and healing. I honour the importance of holding space for each person’s unique identity and beliefs, and I strive to create an environment where all parts of you are seen and valued. I welcome the opportunity to incorporate your spiritual or cultural practices into our work together, and I am truly honoured to learn from each client’s beliefs and lived experiences. Whether your strength is rooted in faith, family, ritual, or personal reflection and growth, I walk beside you with respect and care.

My approach is grounded in compassion, collaboration, and unconditional positive regard. I believe in meeting each person exactly where they are—with kindness, curiosity, and respect. I honour and walk beside each client without judgement, offering a space where you can speak freely and feel deeply supported. Whether you’re feeling disconnected, depleted, or simply unsure of what’s next, I help you reconnect with your inner clarity, peace, and strength so you can move forward through life’s challenges.

Modalities

I use a holistic approach of proven therapy modalities including Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), the Gottman Method, Mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), grief counselling. Every session is tailored to fit your needs, values, and goals. We’ll go at a pace that feels safe and comfortable for you, allowing time to reflect, grow, and heal in a way that feels right.
