FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

AURORA, ON—[Monday October 5, 2009] The “Losing Our Parents” Charity is joining Creo Mundi in their “Just One Shirt Campaign” to kick off their fall fundraising. “All it takes is Just One Shirt to make a difference in someone’s life” said Mary Bart, Chair of “Losing Our Parents.” “I like the idea of their shirts which are so positive – we could all use more positive words in our lives.”

Alison Prentice, President of Creo Mundi says the shirts carry a positive message and are the perfect, absolutely unique gift. “Nowhere else can you find a shirt that looks perfectly normal on the outside, but in fact on the inside is wrapping you in printed messages of Love, and Hope, Courage, Dreams, Prosperity, Strength, Unity and much more” said Prentice. The shirts are made of Bamboo (70% bamboo/30% organic cotton) and are made in Canada. “It’s like wearing cashmere at a tenth of the price!”

Not only can the shirt make a difference in the life of the person who receives it, half the net proceeds on all shirts (and CDs) sold during this 2 week period will be shared with charities to make a difference in another person’s life.

Bart said that “Losing Our Parents” will be one of the listed organizations. “The fact that they are willing to share proceeds of the fundraiser with us is tremendous. Our supporters just have to choose the “Losing Our Parents” listed group as their selection to receive the charity dollars. “If all our donors and all our sponsors and their employees and all our volunteers bought Just One Shirt, we could potentially raise $10,000 or more for the organization in just two weeks”.

According to Prentice that is certainly not out of the realm of possibilities. “ Losing Our Parents” has a list of great supporters and sponsors and people who have used their services. If every person in each of those organizations did buy just one shirt, yes we could raise that amount of money”. Prentice went on to say that “Losing Our Parents” is a wonderful organization dedicated to helping sons and daughters (of all ages) who are dealing and coping with the declining health or death of a parent. “We are all facing the loss of our parents, in greater numbers than ever before as the population ages. It’s the perfect shirt for anyone who needs a bright light in their life, but particularly these families” said Prentice. “I would certainly get my Christmas shopping list ready for these shirts”!

Creo Mundi recently received a US patent for their shirts (and also hold the Canadian patent). Prentice said that their shirts, called Intentional shirts for the messages they carry, have over 200 positive words in 15 languages from around the world printed inside the shirt and carry a message of Love and Hope and Courage and more. “We’ve had these described as like having a Universal Hug when you put them on, and we’ve had a 16 year old call our words “the words of life”. Sixteen years old and coming out with something like that! It’s pretty amazing the response we get.” The ladies scoop neck bamboo comes in different colours, and the kids shirts (in cotton) are only available online and only during these 2 week periods. You cannot buy these elsewhere. And for the first time, long sleeve versions of the bamboo shirts are available. On October 22nd from 8 am (EST) until November 5th 5pm (EST), go to: http://www.creomundi.com/community.php and use Just One Shirt for your Christmas gifts while helping someone else at the same time.

Creo Mundi was featured in 2008 on Season 3 episode 8 of the Canadian CBC show, The Dragons’ Den and subsequently voted “Fan Favourite” for that week. Creo Mundi was also in TIME Magazine April 6, 2009 – the only Canadian company in this article – as part of a story on Intentional nutrition (“Mind Over Chocolate”).
