Mom was a lonely widow in her 70s when we asked her to write her childhood stories and stories from her ancestors. Now Mom is 87 and has dementia, and I print out those stories and take them to her in the nursing home. She actually wears the paper out reading them and it makes her happy. Often when I visit I take a handful of old black and white pictures from her collection. She loves to see them.
