We’re moving to another city and would like to take our elderly aunt. How do we make sure her homecare continues?
Inform her current case manager that she will be moving with you. If you’ll be in the same province, the case manager should be able to help move her care. If you are moving out of province, you may have to wait a period of time before she qualifies for government-funded home care. You can however access home care by paying privately. Contact the local health region to ask them for assistance and referrals.
