Dad rides his scooter everywhere and has stopped walking. Should I be concerned?
You should make sure he does not have any foot problems such as sores or ulcers. These may be stopping him from walking and can cause great distress if not treated. Is he short of breath if he walks a short distance? There is usually a reason for not walking, and it is usually related to pain or shortness of breath. If he hasn’t seen his doctor already then that is your first port of call.
